I produced this song midway thru the project. I knew the project already had a gritty vibe and feel to it that I wanted, but I needed something that had some swing to it with synths and heavy drums. I wanted a Stevie Wonder Superstitious kind of vibe on this track. At the end of recording and mixing the project I decided this would be the introduction. I felt the original version of GO had a serious almost melancholy feel. As I listened to Common’s lyrics I wanted my version of the song to sound like the personification of a voluptuously curvaceous woman with a nice ass (see Buffy the Body…lol!). It needed that funky dance feel. I think I did it justice. I even added a verse of my own to it…lol!
